Not a lot has been going on with the Crossroads team. I’ve been preparing our house like crazy for my graduation party, and everyone else is either working or at school (so am I). The team is going to get out and travel to more places this summer though…I might be going to Racine Sunday for an AED filming day, and to Louisville in the middle of July for an AED roadtrip. Jeremy is also going on these trips too. Ben may be going on the Louisville trip as well. Collin and Ross are heading out to California for two weeks at the end of July with their (well they are my friends too) friends Shaun and Steve. And hopefully we get a Crossroads weekend trip up to Wisconsin done after Collin and Ross get back from Cali. Besides all of the planned trips, Jeremy went to Boston a couple of weeks ago, and Stevie spent a long time in Hawaii. So we are slowly becoming travellers. What else can I say? Leave some comments, damn it!
As the temperatures rise, so does the level of riding in Lansing (someone get me a job as a copywrite for that fine piece of work!). Anyway, Ben and AED rider Austin Raetz shut down Lansing yesterday…apparently Ben spun across the entire park. Nuts. Anyway, not much else has been going on in the world of Crossroads BMX, just a lot of working from the riders and random sessions here and there. Hopefully we can get some filming done one weekend for another Random video? Let’s hope so.
Jeremy, his buddy Fady from Columbia, Karl from AED, and myself all came together on this project; a video from a Westside rapper who calls himself Reno. Fady directed, Jeremy and Karl shot it, and I edited it. I only like a select bit of rap, but this was a fun project nonetheless. Check it out here: Reno: Chop Up the Work. In actual Crossroads news, I rode with Collin, Ross, and Timmy today. We all thought Collin was dead after a half cab led to the bars going into his chest. He ended up fine though, just sore. Speaking of Collin, his whips keep getting cleaner and cleaner. Ross broke a bolt on his cranks (those cranks are bad luck!), and has to fix that. And Timmy…still has a massive pop. He demonstrated it at the Holy Banks, hopefully we film that tomorrow. Not too much else is happening though, so keep on riding. Peace.
I think sacrificing the blog on the main page is worth it, to have a great looking blogger on another part of the site. So come here to get all of your Crossroads news. Wordpress works well, but I have no clue how to tweak its look. Links section is up, so is videos, riders have a few interviews, and that’s about it. I’m working on a zine right now, so that should be pretty sweet for everyone. Enjoy the nice weather, get out and shred!
