Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?
As per Collin’s suggestion, I have uploaded every Crossroads Random video onto Vimeo for everyone’s viewing pleasure. Randoms 1-7 were completed basically within a years time. Looking at the file info, Random 1 was created on June 10th, 2007. It still is amazing to me that we were able to put out 7 solid videos in a years worth of time. Looking back, I miss the old times with old friends, but I’m even more excited about where we are going rather than where we have been. We’ve got big plans for making Crossroads bigger and better in 2008, so stay posted. Until then, enjoy the videos.

Shreddin’ Poland Son!
Jeremy hooked up with a local Poland photographer named Maciek and he was kind enough to take some photos of Jeremy. Check out their site, TRL Crew. Anyway the guy is good with the camera, so check the photos below.
Magda also took some shots of him.

More good photos should be coming from Jeremy and Maciek very soon.

Wow
I just found this gem. The first legit video I ever made…I made some shit with Windows Movie Maker before I made this but that doesn’t really count. This is the first time I actually used a real camera and real computer to edit a video. Ripped the song from Road Fools 14 and it was on…awesome video, riding was so much fun back then with every one. So here it is, Epidemic Volume 1, complete with shitty, stupid Livetype titles that an idiot coworker forced me to use. Enjoy.

DC Rant
Below is something I’ve been thinking a lot about the past couple of days after seeing a lot of stuff lately in regards to this whole deal. Make what you will of it and feel free to form your own opinions, this is just how I feel about DC.
In the past couple of weeks I’ve ended up at City Cyclery a couple times. After bullshitting with Mel for a couple of minutes I looked around at the stock and noticed the SE/DC Quadangle bike. After confirming with Mel that this was in fact the DC/SE collab bike that I’d heard about, he told me that a lot of the reception of the old schoolers has been lukewarm at best. After I went home I checked out Defgrip, since I remembered them making a kind of big deal about it. After checking out both post 1 and post 2, almost all of the comments by the general public seemed to confirm what Mel had said the reactions to him had been.
In short, everyone is wondering, “Why is DC doing these old school collaborations?” This DC/SE bike is not the first, they already did a remake of the PK Ripper (pictured below) a while back. It’s cool to see these remakes come out, but why does DC have an involvement with them? DC was far out of sight from any BMX riders when these bikes were prevalent (1980s). Is DC cashing in? Sure seems like it. These bikes retail for $800, and have reportedly been sold for almost double that.
So I guess in short, be thoughtful of who you’re supporting. I don’t know anyone that would buy one of these, but the next time you’re looking for a new pair of shoes, think about what the company is involved with. Are you supporting a company that hopped onto the retro BMX scene for money and appearances and doesn’t let BMX riders into its skatepark or give its team riders a BMX shoe to ride in, or a company that is doing realistically good stuff for BMX?
